A co-ex bottle is a co-extruded plastic bottle blow moulded from two or more resin layers that fuse into one wall in a single operation. Each layer does a different job: the outer layer carries the colour and finish, the middle layer blocks light or carries regrind, and the inner layer stays virgin food or pharma-grade resin in contact with your product.
Because the layers are formed together on the extrusion line rather than glued or sleeved afterwards, a co-ex bottle behaves as a single component on your filling line. There is no delamination risk in normal handling, no added assembly step, and no separate labelling operation just to achieve a two-tone look. Our Baddi facility runs blow moulding and injection moulding under one roof, supported by an in-house mould development unit that takes a concept from CAD drawing to first article in three to five weeks. During trials we validate wall thickness distribution, layer ratio, neck integrity, top-load strength and closure fitment before the mould is released to production. You receive first-article samples for your own fill trial before we cut a bulk order.
Every co-ex batch is checked for dimensional accuracy, neck finish integrity, wall thickness at defined points, weight tolerance and visual finish.
